功能与背景

This gene encodes a member of the ADP-ribosylation factor-like family. The encoded protein is a small GTPase that contains both N-terminal and C-terminal guanine nucleotide-binding motifs. This protein is localized in the cilia and plays a role in cilia formation and in maintenance of cilia. Mutations in this gene are the cause of Joubert syndrome 8. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2010]

KO/KD

Non-transfected (–) and transfected (+) RMS 13 whole cell extract (30 μg) were separated by 10% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with ARL13B antibody [HL2173] (GTX638177) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody.

Various whole cell extracts (30 μg) were separated by 10% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with ARL13B antibody [HL2173] (GTX638177) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody. Corresponding RNA expression data for the same cell lines are based on Human Protein Atlas program.

ARL13B antibody [HL2173] detects ARL13B protein at cytoplasmic vesicles by immunofluorescent analysis.
Sample: RMS-13 cells were fixed in ice-cold MeOH for 5 min.
Green: ARL13B stained by ARL13B antibody [HL2173] (GTX638177) diluted at 1:500.
Blue: Fluoroshield with DAPI (GTX30920).
