功能与背景

This gene encodes a member of the tubulin superfamily. The encoded protein localizes to the centrosome where it binds to microtubules as part of a complex referred to as the gamma-tubulin ring complex. The protein mediates microtubule nucleation and is required for microtubule formation and progression of the cell cycle. A pseudogene of this gene is found on chromosome 7. [provided by RefSeq]

NIH3T3 whole cell extracts (30 μg) and rat tissue extracts (50 μg) were separated by 10% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with gamma Tubulin antibody (GTX113286) diluted by 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody.
