Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition

上皮-间质转化(EMT)是一个过程,在该过程中,大部分黏附和极化的上皮细胞获得了更多可移动的间质细胞的表型,EMT不仅促进胚胎发育过程中的型态发生,而且还促进肿瘤的侵袭和转移,病理性EMT与E-钙黏着蛋白(E-cadherin)阻抑有关,已被证明可促进肿瘤进展,据报导,几种致癌途径(例如: TGF-beta, Wnt/beta-catenin, integrins与Notch)通过细胞骨架重排和E-钙黏着蛋白阻遏物的激活来诱导EMT,包括Snail, Slug, SIP1, ZEB1和TCF3。
